I took a job in the Utica area in 2008 and by New Years Eve had purchased a home and my third Jeep Wrangler since 1986. I had the good fortune of being referred to "Uncle Russ" (Russ Schmidt) at Oriskany Garage Tire and Auto Service on Champlin Avenue for work as I needed it on the vehicle and have been a faithful customer of theirs ever since. When Russ sold the business to Rade Cavic in 2015, I began to get to know him as well as I'd come to know Russ, and realized the operation had only steadily improved with Russ staying on as General Manager, and Rade began his seasoning as the new owner. I've reviewed this business at least a couple of times in the past and always as favorable as I could describe. As I prepare to relocate away from the area, however, I felt compelled to express what is so very special about this operation. It has literally become the benchmark for customer service in the entire central region of New York. In a business arena where customers are often apprehensive about whether or not they're going to receive quality service at a fair price, Oriskany Tire and Garage (OTG) has defined a new standard. You will never regret using their team of experts to diagnose and repair or simply maintain your vehicle. You'll never again be apprehensive about entrusting what has become such an important item in everyone's life in this new faster-paced society, your automobile, to people you can absolutely trust! Everything you could possibly expect is provided by the services they offer. From friendly and courteous greetings, to efficient and timely appointments, to rapid assessments when needed, to fair and most economical pricing. Plus they do the myriad of "little things" that have all but disappeared from today's business landscape. Rapid pick-up and drop-off from home or business when your vehicle must remain for more than an hour or so by people who care about you and your experience. I'm always struck by the poster near the entryway. To me it sums up their philosophy, their values, and their character. It's a model for the way sales and services should be provided at every level in our economy. Thank you Rade, Russ, and the entire OTG team for flawless service over these past 13 years. I will continue referring new customers to you as long as I'm able!
